I just found out that our dear friend Cliff Huber has passed away. Cliff had been battling with cancer for the last few years, and at 1:30PM Pacific time on Saturday, God called Cliff home. Cliff and his wife, Peggy have been an inspiration to us as they have stood together faithfully through this challenge. They have had an incredible faith, and have shown all around them a shining example of true surrender to God. Please pray for Cliff, Peggy and his family.
St. Thomas More kicks off a week of opening events with an XLT.
Published January 5, 2010 Uncategorized Leave a CommentOn Sunday, St. Thomas More kicked off a week of opening events for its new parish center with an XLT, hosted by the St. Thomas More Youth Ministry. The XLT, which stands for ‘exalt’, included praise and worship, Eucharistic adoration and a talk which was given by David Calavitta, the youth and young adult minister at St. Thomas More.
The event began with a social gathering immediately after the 5:00 PM Mass, and was sponsored by Jerry’s Dogs. Jerry O’Connell, CEO of Jerry’s Dogs generously donated the food and catering for the evening. Jerry and his crew worked hard to serve over 600 people who attended the event.
There will be events at the parish center all week, and everyone is welcome. Please see the St. Thomas More web site for details.
